The new laws enacted by the Parliament of England in this year of 1606 against the English Catholics, called Recusants, translated from their original English printed text.

1. Every person that shall not receive their heretic communion, at least once in every year, shall forfeit, for the first year after not receiving it, eighty escudos of ten reals on penalty, and for the second year one hundred and eighty, and for the third year two hundred and forty, and the same in every year following, two hundred and forty. Of which, one moiety will be to the King and the other moiety to him that will sue.
